Eva Thőrn has been elected as new ExCo Chair of the ECPGR Executive Committee, starting from 1 January 2015 and replacing Gert Kleijer, who is retiring.

Eva is currently Program Manager of the Genetic Resources and Intellectual Property Rights Program (GRIP) at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Ultuna, Sweden.

From 2004-2011 she was the Coordinator of the South East European Development Network on Plant Genetic Resources (SEEDNet) and previously (1996-2003) Director of the Nordic Genebank, Alnarp, Sweden.
