Genetic Resources Issue 3

The third issue of the ECPGR managed journal Genetic Resources is now published

The third issue of Genetic Resources was finalized and published on 29 June 2021 and is available on www.genresj.org and using its DOI: https://doi.org/10.46265/genresj.2021.3
Issue 3 includes one review and three original articles, covering animal and plant genetic resources as well as tropical agroforestry.

The review describes the diversity of local Bulgarian sheep breeds with a focus on coat color, its genetics and economic potential:

The three original articles describe the results of a collection mission for Allium wild relatives in Greece, including an optimized regeneration protocol (https://www.genresj.org/index.php/grj/article/view/genresj.DMAT2233), a study of the genetic diversity and population structures of goat breeds in Kenya (https://www.genresj.org/index.php/grj/article/view/genresj.EQFQ1540) and a study of the genetic diversity of African locust bean trees (Parkia biglobosa) using protein profiling and Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA markers (https://www.genresj.org/index.php/grj/article/view/genresj.OBVW6791).

Genetic Resources is a new journal managed by the ECPGR Secretariat providing a platform for diverse stakeholders and practitioners in genetic resources to publish and share their research.
